Clay County Public Library News

10 August 2017

The Clay County Library will be handing out solar eclipse glasses Saturday, August 19.  The eclipse is almost here!  Please be sure to protect your eyes.  Stop by the library and pick up a free pair of glasses between 9:00 and 1:00.

There will be many other activities going on at the library on Saturday.  There will be several silent auctions for items such as computer repair, Wampum baskets, vase of candy, and antique decorations.  Edwin Garrett will be here selling and signing his book “They Said it Their Way”.  Clay County throws, Christmas ornaments, CHS picture books, and other genealogy material will be available for sale.  We have over 600 DVD’s that will be sold for $3.00 or 4 for $10.  There will also be baked goods for sale.  There will also be free popcorn!

The library has just purchased 10 full page magnifiers. They are ultra-thin magnifiers that will help anyone read smaller print pages.  These will be available for checkout soon.

Please ask us for a survey card the next time you visit.  The Clay County Library is here to serve the citizens of Clay County, and your opinion is always appreciated.  The survey is also available on-line at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P5QPKWC

The library will be closed on Monday, September 4, for Labor Day.
